WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR

RHEUMATOLOGY APPOINTMENT

Dr Maxine Szramka provides a comprehensive assessment of your Rheumatology needs.

To assist her in being able to provide the most thorough assessment at the time of your appointment it is important to make sure that you have a few things with you at the time.

For your first appointment with Dr Maxine please make sure that you bring:

  • A copy of your referral letter from your GP or referring doctor

  • A copy of the reports of any x-ray or other imaging tests over the last year, particularly ones relevant to your area of pain

  • A copy of the results of any of your recent blood tests ordered by your GP, or results from the last year

  • A list of all of your current medications and supplements and doses

AND, importantly for you:

  • A list of any questions that you might need to ask and have answered. Sometimes in a consultation it is easy to forget what you wanted to ask so it helps to come prepared

  • If you think you may forget some of the details of your issues, please write them down and bring them in with you to support you in your consultation.
