Dr Maxine Szramka is a Rheumatologist with a wealth of experience and expertise.  

 

She treats all Rheumatological conditions and has a special interest in the treatment of Gout and all forms of Arthritis including Ankylosing Spondylitis.

Maxine is actively engaged in her profession, lecturing in Rheumatology to medical students, and is also a sought after educator for the public due to her ability to take the complex and make it simple - and fun! Active in her professional field, she has been the chair of the Committee for Quality and Safety for the Australian Rheumatology Association (ARA), has served on the committee for professional affairs for the ARA and is a peer reviewer for an international scientific journal. She attends many conferences and meetings every year to stay ahead of the trend to ensure her patients get the best possible advice and care.

Maxine loves working in partnership with her patients and empowers people in their health care. The philosophy of Maxine's practice is underpinned by the understanding that health care at its core is about care for all people, and she enjoys taking the time to personalise treatment plans for each person.
